RE: Moving MH with slides out???

I am not advocating this in any shape or form, just an observation. We were at Tom Johnson's RV dealership in North Carolina and they were moving their entire inventory from one side of the lot to the other side (a large lot)with every unit with its slides out. They had top end units to entry level all moving. I know if they make a mess of a unit the new owner will find it out and the warrentee will fix it or else its a wash.

Jacks

Dose everyone use your Jacks all the time? My large slide will not come out if my jacks are down. I have to put the slide out then put the jacks down. We don't use the jacks all the time but DW said she thought it puts a lot of stress on the air bags if we don't use the jacks. What do you think?

I am sick and tired of taking the pots and pans in and out of the rv. dose anyone have any pots and pans that fit inside each other and are good qualith. Most camp pans are light and flimsy. thanks

RE: Walmart

some Walmarts have installed a gate that allows cars to pass but if you are over 11 feet or so high you cannot go in. that is how some handle it. as for what trucks are parked there, I have seen times there are 10 or 15 in one lot. I don't think they are all Walmart trucks. I don't think very many trucks deliver to Walmart if they are not Walmart trucks. they may deliver to the main terminal but not to each store for the most part.

RE: Parking Lot Follies

we had a 42 ft. motorhome with a dolly and a Mazda on it. Lost in Wiston-Salem at rush hour on a Friday on a hot July day. Turn into a parking lot that looked good but was not. Had to take the car off the dolly and the dolly off the motorhome, turn the coach around and put the dolly back on the coach and the car back on the dolly. what a mess.

RE: Walmart

sorry I left out the cost of the site should be resonable, $10-$15. My bad!

RE: Walmart

I don't have anything against truckers, they do keep our country moving however they do not like it when we go into "truck stops" even to fuel up. I have had times when I went in for coffee and the trucker next to us came so close I thought my steps would hit his rig. What the *#%!.

Walmart

for all that think staying at Walmart is not a good thing, they will be happy shortly. More and more the truckers are taking over the Walmart lots. The problem is truckers are very heavy and they kill the lots leaving holes that will consume a motorhome and oil spots the size of Rhode Island. so the time for "Walmart stop-overs" will be coming to a hault. To bad the campground industry does not have a system for, dry camping, stop over areas. Nothing fancy and right off the interstates, maybe in connection with rest areas. I guess that would involve doing work with the states (forget that)

RE: Toad covers or protectors

We had a rock guard across the front of the HHR and we still got dings, mud flaps, no help. I had a bra on one of my other cars and it mad a mess of the hood (dirt caught under bra) and I was not towing that car. I think its a hazzard of what we do.

Ants

Someone told us if you wanted to keep ants out of your rig you should put AJAX on the ground around your wheels and jacks and the ants will not cross it. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so does it work?

Can the MoHo go here

We want to travel to Virginia Beach and then on to Connecticut. I know the Chesapeake bridge has rules and am wondering if we can go with the propane on board. I don't know how we would go without going way out of the way.

RE: white streaks

Our coach is a 2006, I would hope the roof would last longer than 2 years. I wonder if, in time, this will affect the integrity of the roof?

white streaks

We have a black motorhome that has a white rough surface fiberglass roof. Every time it rains we get white streaks all over the sides. I power-washed the roof which helped but returns very quickly. I thought about waxing but the surface is like a skid-proof texture. I think it might be "chaulking" but if so what do I do to correct it?

RE: Mileage on HHR

Are you pulling the right 2 amp fuse? I have a 2006 and I have 0 miles added while towing.

RE: Any using a TENS unit?

I had very bad muscle spasms on my side from coughing and the TENS unit worked wonders. DH put the pads just above and below where the pain was coming from and after 20 minutes (adjust the pulse to a level that feels comfortable to you)I was almost like new.

RE: power awning

I do not have a wind sensor on this coach but it does have a wind release that keeps it from being ridget in the wind but not retracting it. I guess that would defeat the purpose of the release. DAAAAH sorry

power awning

When we had a manual awning we would secure it with tie-downs to keep the wind from ripping it off. We now have a power awning on the motorhome and are wondering if we can tie it down the same way we did the manual awning?

RE: small solar panel

OK, I have a 5 watt "battery Saver Pro" that I bought from Campworld a looooong time ago. It comes with a set of clamps to hook to the battery. In the advertisement it says its a 12 volt trickle charger (never used it). QUESTION: Can I hook it to (2) six volt batteries to charge the set of 4 or should I put it back in the storage room where its been all of this time? Thanks for putting up with my "short circuit" brain. Adrian and Johnnie
